The Register is governed by a Registration Panel of up to 11 members.  Membership was invited primarily from key stakeholders associated with the Deaf community.

Registration Panel – Membership and Operation sets out the structure and subcommittees of the panel which comprises of:

  • Complaints Sub-committee
  • Appeals Panel
  • Panel of Assessors, to develop and carry out practical and knowledge-based skills assessments and audit of interpreters
  • Secretariat who provides administrative support to the register, this role is carried out primarily by Quality Development Officer (QDO), Sign Language Interpreting Service (SLIS)
