Mentoring is designed to provide developmental support and guidance to interpreters at any stage of their professional career. Mentoring will facilitate interpreters to focus on aspects of their profession and support development of skills and knowledge to progress and reach career goals.
A Mentoring Programme is currently being developed to provide experienced RISLI registered interpreters the opportunity to train as mentors. Once qualified, RISLI will promote and support mentors to establish their own practice within the professional field.
RISLI is developing the CPD and Mentoring Policy to include more details on the programme as it develops.
