Work Practice Requirements

RISLI registered interpreters must complete a minimum of 12 interpreting assignments or a minimum of 12 hours interpreting work, for each membership year (i.e. 12 months from the date of registration).

Interpreting assignments/hours can include:

  • Staff/PAYE interpreting hours
  • Paid professional freelance work or agency interpreting work
  • Voluntary/pro bono interpreting work
